Jamie Stunkard has been a licensed
certified nutritionist since 1996 (license #000145) having graduated
from the American Health Science University in Colorado. He
received his degree in Naturopathy from Westbrook University
in 1997 and is board certified by the American Naturopathic

taught by Dr. Bernard Jensen in 1993. Jamie completed course
level II from the New England School of Homeopathy with Paul
Herscu in 1996 and has currently finished a 3-year course in
classical homeopathy with Jayesh Shah of the Bombay homeopaths.
Jamie's consuming interest is helping people explore the path
to better health.
Naturopathy
Naturopathy acknowledges the inherent capacity of the body and
mind to heal itself. The body is seen as an integrated system
with each part being affected by other parts. Each imbalance
resonates throughout the cells of the body. To treat only the
area which is projecting pain can can only be partially successful.
Naturopathy is comfortable with the concept of a healing and
sustaining Life Force that exists in everyone. Drugs and devitalized
processed foods are seen to weaken the body's life force.
The methods used in Naturopathy seek
to support the body's healing process. Practitioners use a wide
range of remedies and treatments. These can include extensive
dietary changes, juicing, herbs, vitamin and mineral supplementation,
homeopathic remedies, flower essences, intestinal cleansing,
fasting, hydrotherapy, exercise, stress management and general
preventive lifestyle changes.
Getting healthy is often a path of
discovery and empowerment. Naturopathy can give a person the
tools with which to explore and take responsibility for their
better health.

Iridology
The art and science of reading the iris of the eye dates back
to ancient Chinese medical manuscripts where crude diagrams
can be seen. Dr. Bernard Jensen was probably one of the first
people in the 1900's to refine a map of the iris and its relationship
to the tissues and structures of the human body. His work over
the last 60 years has done much to bring the benefits of iridology
to the general public.
Iridology can be better understood
by realizing that there is a nero-optic reflex between the 25,000
or so nerve filaments of the iris and cervical ganglia of the
sympathetic nervous system. Through this connection, the fibers
within the iris become an accurate reflection of the entire
body system. By understanding the variance in structure with
in the iris, an iridology can recognize areas of inflammation,
areas or under activity and possible dysfunction as well as
toxic congestion.
We can see then that this tool
is a powerful, noninvasive resource for both preventive medicine
and optimal health. It can help recognize and support weak organs
and body structures before they become problematic. It can also
be useful for pinpointing factors which are aggravating a current
health problem. Iridology could be called a window into the
body. It helps us understand what our body is already trying
to tell us.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed over 200 years
ago by the German physician Samual Hahnemann. Homeopathic remedies
are prepared from sources such as plants, minerals, even animals
and insects and are used in extremely small amounts. A guiding
principle of homeopathy is that "like cures like".
This means that the symptoms a substance creates can also be
used to cure similar symptoms in an unhealthy person.
Each person is assessed individually
according to their own unique manifestation of symptoms. The
whole person is treated mental, emotional and physical with
the idea that all of these together are part of any imbalance.

Hair Analysis
Trace mineral analysis is a test which measures the mineral
content of your hair. Mineral content of the hair reflects mineral
content of the body's tissues. If a mineral deficiency or excess
exists in the hair, it usually indicates a mineral deficiency
or excess within the body, or bio unavailability. It can also
detect the accumulation of toxic metals such as mercury, lead
or cadmium from the environment, job or hobby.
